Common questions
Who does Sonny call?
Sonny calls your parent or loved one directly on their regular phone. They don't need a smartphone, an app, or any tech at all. Just their phone.
What does the summary look like?
After every call, you get a short message from Sonny — the moments that mattered most, what you might want to ask her about next time, and anything worth knowing. It reads like an update from a friend who just hung up with her, not a report.
What's the heads-up text?
On the Every Day plan, if Sonny picks up on something that feels off — a health mention, a shift in mood, something that doesn't quite sit right — we'll text you so you can reach out to her.
What if my parent doesn't pick up?
Sonny calls from the same number every time, so once they save it as a contact it shows up like any other call. If they miss the call, Sonny leaves a voicemail letting them know to expect a callback in 30 minutes, then tries again.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
If the first few calls aren't what you hoped for, we'll refund you in full.
After that, you can cancel anytime, but the current month isn't refunded.
Will my parent know it's an AI?
Sonny is transparent about being an AI companion. Most families find their parent warms up quickly once they realize Sonny is genuinely curious, patient, and never in a hurry.
What's the difference between 3 and 7 calls per week?
Three calls per week is enough to build a relationship and keep her week in front of you. Seven calls per week is when Sonny becomes a fixture in her day — someone she genuinely looks forward to hearing from. Daily calls also mean you hear the small stuff you'd otherwise miss entirely.
